Watermelon Fest 2009

We went to the watermelon fest last night with Katie's buddies Conner and Cole who will be in her preschool class! YAY! Anyways- we had a great time hanging out(even though i felt horrible:)!) I was glad Kathryn got to get out and run all over the place! The rain even held up so we could all have a great time!

Maybe a future Lil Miss Watermelon? Better get to watching more toddler and tiaras haha!

We are BACK!!

So- I have been sick ...not only preggy sick but with a bad cold. A cold that still lingers around with a cough or two. It is much harder to fight a cold preggy and with a crazy climbing one year old...WHO ALSO HAS BEEN SICK! (doesn't slow her down)

Since last time we posted we have gone from the mountains...to the coast!
We took a mountain trip with Jeff family and had a wonderful time being together. We did a choo choo train ride, watched Mr. Bowes play tennis, visited a nature center, and shopped around Asheville. Kathryn also got an ear infection the day we got there so we got to visit an immediate care up there! OH JOY!




The week back she came down with the croup after 2 doc visit we finally got some medicine that worked! Thank GOD for our fav pediatrician Meghan...who gave us the hook up! I also came down with a horrible sinus infection and chose to fight it off versus taking antibiotics. I didn't want to do anything to harm our new addition but oh do antibiotics work! I am now a big believer in pills!!:)

Jeff also had to work down at the coast one day so ended up meeting him down there to spend the night. We all had a great time being on the beach ...feeling the sand between our toes! I was so hoping the salt air would clear my sinus... i think it helped:)




This Tuesday Kathryn had her baby well check up...its suppose to be for 15 month but we waited an extra month. Since she will not be having anymore well check ups before she turns 2! wow! We also went in for another little baby check up....lil baby bowes heartbeat was 160! hummm boy? girl?

First Baby Bowes Appt.

We(me jeff and kb) all attended my first baby appt. We got to hear the sweet/fast heartbeat of our new family member! So excited that we were all together to be a part of such a special moment. However this week I have been extremely sick and with a bad cold. Kathryn has had the croup so life has been very uneventful and I feel as if we are really locked in a castle. The biggest excitement of the day is Jeff coming home(yay!) because I hand over Miss K. Looking foward to my grandmother coming over to make me some yummy food that hopefully I can keep down!

We met up with Kristan and Carrie and her precious little one Blake! She takes pics of Blake once a month for Carrie so we JUMPED at the chance to get some photos too! I absolutely love them!!

We got an ice cream treat the other day from SONIC..the doller banana split...its so YUMMMMMY! Plus it is so small so you feel guilt free but when you have an ice cream monster in the back seat ...its not often you get a BITE! She lovvvvvves to eat ice cream so much she bit the plastic spoon in half!

Grandma Rae Birthday!

We celebrated my grandmas birthday Aug2nd @ a Chinese buffet...yum... We had a wonderful time celebrating her special day with her and family. After, lunch we had a horrible ran storm but Kathryn of course slept through it all the way home!

Jump Jump with Conner and Sam!

Last weeek Kathryn met up with her buddies Sam and Conner @ Jumpn' parties. I wasn't sure how she would do in the inflatable domes but she did great! She really enjoyed hanging out and being with her buddies! The pic from my phone is a little blurry....i hope i can get some better ones from Ashleigh soon!

4615 1/2 Lake Wilson Road

My parents want Kathryn to live RIGHT beside them!! So they are in the process of creating her own little living area and even bought her mini playhouse by the lake. My dad says that her address in now 4615 1/2 Lake Wilson Road! haha! I brought her to their house Sunday ...so she could see her NEW house!! It was love at first site!! She squealed and danced...and jump right on it!:) It was like CHRISTMAS IN JULY!!!

Kathryn's 1st trip to the LIBRARY!

Soo...Marme had off today and we wanted to spend some time with her so we went to Wilson for a quick trip. Met up with my dad and bro for lunch in Rocky Mount. On the way back my mom suggested we check out La-D-Da's new store down town ...so cute... and then we decided to take Kathryn to the LIBRARY for the first time! We had sooooo much fun and Kathryn loved walking around, playing with the books, climbing on the cute chairs. She was absolutely adorable reading and talking to me about her books! I cant wait to take her back!!!!

We have really enjoyed taking Kathryn out on the boat with us! Jeff just loves that she has great "sea legs" ...however I feel like she walks with "sea legs" normally:) haha! She was sooo into wanting to drive the boat today! We had a great FAMILY DAY!

Fathers Day!

Once again the Fathers Day Open was played however this year it was for a trophey that will be passed year to year ...to whoever wins! It is a very friendly competion that is between Mr.Bowes/Jeff vs My Dad/Tyler. This is year it was very close but Team Brantley pulled it together on the back nine to win!

Happy July 4th!

We spent Independence Day in Greenville and Washington! We got to Washington around 3ish and got Katie and Brad to tag along! We had a great time taking the boat out for a little ride. Then we heading over to Jeff's parents condo(now for sale) to watch fireworks:) Liz and Brandon also joined us ...so it was great too see them!! Happy 4th!
